PATROL and ProactiveNet Performance Management (BPPM)
Once collected the data is streamed to the BPPM agent that has an integration service running on it. The integration service gathers up the collected data for each of the agents reporting in five minute packages and then sends those packages to the Central server where they are analyzed. There are multiple processes that are involved in problem management. BPPM does a great job at working reactively to trigger events or recovery for its monitored objects. Once established it will will proactively detect and analyze issues to assist in determining the cause. The measured data came come from many sources, but the primary source are the monitoring measures collected by the Patrol Agents.
